Dibs allows you to send automated email notifications to customers, starting with reminders related to partial payments. You can enable or disable these emails and personalize the subject and message content to match your brand tone and style.
All email settings are managed within the app and can be updated at any time.
Getting Started,
- Open the Dibs app from your Shopify admin.
- Click Customize in the left-hand panel.
- Under the Notifications section, click Edit to manage email settings.

Order and Payment-Related Email Notifications
Apart from the order confirmation email, Dibs currently supports three types of emails to help you follow up with customers who choose the partial payment option. These emails are connected and follow a sequence.
- Using the toggle, you can enable or disable the emails as needed.
- Click on the edit symbol to customize the subject and message.

1. Preorder confirmation email
Sent as soon as an order is placed and a preorder or backorder product is part of the purchase to confirm the order.

2. Payment due email
Sent on the due date, this email prompts the customer to pay the remaining balance on their preorder.
- This is the primary email and must be enabled for the other two emails to function.
- You can edit both the subject and message content.

3. Early remainder email
Sent before the due date to remind the customer that a payment is coming up.
- You can choose how many days in advance the reminder is sent.
- This is an optional email and works only if the Payment Due Email is enabled.

4. Follow up email
Sent after the due date if the payment is still pending.
- You can set how many days after the due date this follow-up should be sent.
- This also depends on the Payment Due Email being enabled.

Finally, click Save to complete setting up the email notifications.
